My wife brought this to my attention. I didn't do too much research.
I'm a bit half half on how good this is.
So if you're already an AIA customer, or you can start by purchasing one of their policies.
Then you can download this app and subscribe to it by paying $3 per month.
Every month or week, if you do some healthy thing,
you earn points which can be exchanged for vouchers.
So if you earn 250 points in a week, you can exchange that for $5 Cold storage / Starbucks voucher.
Quite worth it. Considering you pay $3 per month.
You can "earn" $20 per month.
And how to earn 250 points in a week?
Well, you can get 100 points for 60 minutes of walking everyday. So that's 3 days of walking.
Or 30 minutes of running depending on speed.
You can also gain 100 points by going to the gym. With this app, you can gain membership to gyms at
discounted rates. Like True Yoga (50% disc), True Fitness (65% disc) with NO contract. So the payment
is just for 1 month usage and if you don't like it you can just stop the gym membership.

And if you like to go for sports events, like marathons and all that, you can gain points for attending
those too. Points are awarded based on the distance covered.

There's even some cashback if you buy healthy foods at Cold Storage.
I don't want to go into detail here cos you need to take some health check up first which will earn you
points before you can start getting the benefit. I'm not doing much in-depth research about this part so I don't want to give you wrong info.

Furthermore, at the end of the year, if you reach a certain number of points, you can get discounts on
your holidays like, Royal Caribbean, Mariott, Emirates, etc.
But to get the best level, you need 30,000 points for platinum status.
Like for Royal Caribbean, at platinum status, you get 50% off.
But bronze status, you automatically have it cos it's 0 points, you get 10% off.
Silver status is 10,000 points.
Gold is 20,000 points.
And if you're really really diligent, you can get cashback to your bank account!
So if you're able to hit Platinum status, this app is free.
But you still have to pay for your monthly policy which you may already have or specially purchased just to enable you to sign up for this app.
I think it's a pretty cool and innovative way to get people active.
But I think not many people will sign up for it. It isn't free money.
BUT it is useful for certain people.
For slackers, like me, or people who don't really like to sweat, then definitely this is pretty pointless.
However, if you already have a healthy lifestyle and run or do activities on a regular basis, this scheme is pretty much free money to you. Cos hitting the targets shouldn't be too difficult.
Alternatively, if both you and your partner want to start a healthy lifestyle but don't know what to do, I
think this app may help to push you to do stuff. Cos it's pretty much gamifying healthy lifestyle. You can plan your activities and try to out play the system and put into place activities together to hit the targets to get real rewards.
So it's a pretty good app or scheme.
Just thought you might like to know. Especially those who already have a healthy lifestyle and run
regularly.
