Cos I was in Paris from 1-9 June.
Special Expenses is kinda high this month cos of the Paris trip.
The Biz expense of $492.40 is for food and transport in Paris, a proportion of this is covered.
A large bulk of the Gifts expense is also due to the Paris trip and we bought some stuff for a couple of family members. Also, some part of this is covered.
There's also a couple of bucks in Gift expense where we bought lunch for friends. Nothing too extravagant.
Dental expense is a night guard for my wife. She tends to clench her teeth so she uses a night guard to prevent damage due to the clenching. It's worn down and replaced around every 3 years. This is $276.50.
The exciting thing is that Food expense has dropped to $80.
This is attributed to the point that we have been traveling a lot in May and early June. So we decided that we would stay home most of the time in the month of June. So we didn't go out to eat much.
Saturdays are at our parents place and food is provided.
Sundays we were at home and food is free.
The main bulk of this $80 expense is the cost of my wife eating when she's at work.
Nothing much else to mention.
A $26.77 for bus and MRT travel.
And $53.80 for some toiletries and make up.
I've more or less come to a conclusion that total discretionary expenses will average around $500, if my wife changes job or stops going for all her biz travels.
There's always going to be Special expenses every month, there's always something happening which isn't a normal thing, like someone getting married, a baby shower, a birthday, going on holidays, visiting the doctor or dentist...
The month of July will also be interesting.
Cos we have another biz trip to KL,
a personal trip to Thailand coming up (flight and accommodation has been paid in previous month),
another biz trip to Australia flight and accommodation to be paid in July.
This year has flown by really quickly cos we've been traveling a lot.
It's kinda tiring... I wonder how the numbers will look like when I add up everything at the end of the year.
