I'm sure you've heard...
If everyone retired early, there would be no more people working and the economy would falter.
If everyone turned freegan, no one would consume and there would be insufficient resources even for the freegans.
If Biden wins the election, US is going to become a socialist country.
If everyone... <insert whatever you want to say> and then there <insert whatever extreme outcome you expect to happen>.
Well, turns out there's a term for this.
It's called the slippery slope fallacy.
The fact is... Most of these extreme outcomes aren't likely.
Large populations of people won't want to or won't be able to retire early.
Large numbers of people won't suddenly decide to become freegans.
PAP will still remain in control of SG even if they lose another 4 GRCs.
They are possible. But not likely.
When one thing happens, it's not the end of the world. We cannot conclude an extreme outcome just from one incident.
Now... What Hitler did was a rare outcome. The planets aligned I suppose.
So whenever you're thinking of something bad happening...
Well... don't fret too much. There might be still a long way to go for absolute failure.
