And we recently got a replacement using Lazada and Shopback in another previous post on more ways to save.
So it's another sad day for me cos this time, I dropped MY phone and the screen cracked. AND I GOT IT LIKE.... WITHIN THIS YEAR!!! What a total waste of money. I bought it slightly after the 2G networks were turned off so it's probably around June 2017 or around that. Cos I bought it around the time of the IT fair during that period. *OUCH* Less than half a year.
I'll still be using this phone going forward though. Not going to buy a replacement unless the functions can't work. My wife's phone had issues typing so we got a replacement for her sooner than expected. But for my cracked phone, the typing function, messaging function, camera functions are all working well for now, so I'll likely be using this phone for the next year or so. Hopefully it stays in a good enough condition until 2019.
Nonetheless, it's a lesson learnt. I've been careless and taking it for granted. I've cracked 2 phones. This current one and an iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 was a hand-me-down so it wasn't so painful cos it was already over 2 years old by that time. This phone is pretty different. It was specifically bought for my dual sim purposes and only a couple of months old.
Now I even have to put on a screen protector to prevent my fingers from getting cut. I've some old screen protectors which don't fit any of the new phones anymore, so I cut them up to fit them on my own phone. Don't want to make a bad situation worse and end up slicing my finger on the cracked edges whilst using this phone.
Ahhh... adds on as one of the unfortunate things which happened recently.
1. Wife's biz trip cancelled, wasted my ticket
2. Facebook blocks me from using it cos I'm not a "real" person
3. Cracked phone...
Hope better things occur in the coming weeks and months.
